So sad. I had really hoped that the whale might make it back out to sea, but it was not meant to be. Still, I can't help but wonder if we had done things differently the outcome might not have been so tragic ...

Read about the whale... Very sad indeed. They sure could have saved it... too much media coverage delayed it too i think. Hope you are up on your feet and running soon.10:52 amI agree. I think less boats on the water would have made a big impact, too. Whales navigate using sonar, and so many boat engine noises all around would have rendered it virtually blind and very frightened. Should have been left alone as much as possible, and then they should have intervened when it beached itself the first time.
