I really don't want to have to do this, so I'm not. A friend has already done it, and I couldn't have put it more beautifully or succinctly:

OCICBW...

I will not be blogging again for a while.

My heart goes out to you in your grief.

I don't really know you, I only really started hanging around this community after Ian went into hospital. I've been holding you and him in my thoughts and prayers, all the same.

I'm sure this ragtag online community will be thinking of you and praying for you while you're offline, and I'm sure they'll be here to welcome you back gently when you're ready.

    And we don't blame you.

Whenever you're ready to come back, we'll be here. :nods:

Good to know you have a support network around you.

Peace to you and the whole family during this very difficult time.

I hope, someday soon, you'll be able to see Ian as a miracle in your life, in and of himself.

    Miracles never end.

Oh Lisa. I have no words, just tears. I'm one of your silent ones, I read always and never write, this is my first. I need you to know you are not alone, not at any hour. When you wake in that hour before dawn, there are countless people (including me) in the US including a plea for you in their evening prayers, right at that very same minute. Let this group of Christians hold you close in those hours, in all hours of the day. Such is the wonder of on-line and of global friends. With love and prayers continuing. theJanet

Heartbreak here in New York, and crying a river for you. Such a terrible outcome to so long an ordeal!

    Prayers and best wishes always.

you've got my prayers, my love, my tears
and i'm oly one of untold folks in blogland who are carrying you in their hearts right now.

i'd second JCF's comment- my prayer that one day your pain and loss will work itself into wonder and appreciation for the extraordinary years of blessing you and Ian have
